On campus housing and meals are provided in the First Year New Student Session. Failure to participate in any part of your session is your own responsibility, and can jeopardize proper academic advising and course enrollment. With that in mind, it is our hope that you will take advantage of everything that is offered during your session. Each day is full of activities that will assist you in learning everything there is to know about the campus, from what courses to take to how to get involved, and much more. Participating in the entirety of New Student Orientation is the beginning of a successful start here at UCLA. Please read through all the information about your session before signing up. This program is for students only. The session dates reflect the programming that will be held over the course of those days some of the elements will be at scheduled times, and others will be offered to view at your convenience. Please ensure that you are available from approximately 9 am – 6 pm (PDT) on your session dates to participate fully.Īpproximately three days before your session you will receive an email with details and instructions on how to download the session schedule. New Student Orientation serves as an extensive introduction to the academic and campus life at UCLA.
